Karekin II honors fallen soldiers at Yerablur

PanARMENIAN.Net - Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II, accompanied by bishops, visited the Yerablur Military Pantheon to pay tribute to the memory of Armenian soldiers who died for the homeland. A Lord’s Prayer was recited, followed by a moving prayer for the souls of the fallen.

According to Aysor.am, the Catholicos called on reporters not to disrupt the significance of the day with unnecessary questions.

“We have already delivered our message. We are here to bow before the memory of our children and to pray to God for a peaceful, secure, and prosperous life for our homeland. Allow us to live this day in its full meaning,” said the Church leader.

At the end, he gave a blessing to the journalists: “The Lord be with you, go in peace.”

In his Army Day address, Karekin II emphasized that the army, born during the years of newly gained independence, has been defined by its fearless struggle for justice and freedom. He called the army a foundational pillar of Armenian statehood, vital for national peace and security.
