Оmbudsman’s reps visit Yerevan Garrison Hospital![]() January 30, 2026 - 18:44 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On January 29, 2026, at the instruction of Human Rights Defender Anahit Manasyan, representatives of the Ombudsman’s Office carried out a rapid-response visit to the Yerevan Garrison Hospital of the Ministry of Defense. The Ombudsman’s Office said the visit was prompted by a complaint filed by a representative of the serviceman’s family concerning his health condition and the organization of medical care. During the visit, the Defender’s representatives met with the hospital’s management and medical staff. They discussed the course of ongoing medical examinations, the quality of treatment provided, and issues related to assessing the serviceman’s fitness for service based on his health condition. They also held a private conversation with the serviceman, who raised the need for psychological counseling and placement in a separate room. As a result of the visit and cooperation with the hospital, psychological support was provided, and the serviceman was transferred to an individual room. Further steps are currently being taken to effectively address remaining issues related to legal protection. The review of the complaint concerning the serviceman is actively ongoing within the Human Rights Defender’s Office. His health condition and medical care remain under constant attention.
