Azerbaijani, Turkish FMs discuss regional security

PanARMENIAN.Net - Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan held a telephone conversation, during which they focused on matters related to regional security, APA reports.

The ministers exchanged views on developments in the Middle East, the progress of normalization between Armenia and Azerbaijan, and other issues of mutual interest.

They also discussed bilateral cooperation within the framework of allied relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey, as well as coordination of joint actions within international organizations and multilateral platforms.

On August 8, during a trilateral meeting at the White House with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, U.S. President Donald Trump, and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, a joint declaration was signed summarizing the outcome of the talks.

Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, in the presence of their national leaders and the U.S. President, preliminarily signed an agreement titled “On the Establishment of Peace and Interstate Relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan.”
