Samvel Karapetyan elected leader of new party

PanARMENIAN.Net - On February 11, Samvel Karapetyan was elected president of the newly established Strong Armenia party during its founding congress. The announcement was made on Facebook by Marianna Ghahramanyan, spokesperson for the Mer Dzevov (Our Way) movement.

“The congress elected a new president and council. Samvel Karapetyan was unanimously elected party president.

The party’s official launch will take place on February 12 at 1:00 PM at the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex, where the name of its candidate for prime minister will be announced,” the post reads.

On January 19, it was announced that supporters of Samvel Karapetyan had registered a new political party named “Strong Armenia.”

Parliamentary elections in Armenia are scheduled for June 7, 2026.
