Yerevan to celebrate International Music Day on June 21

PanARMENIAN.Net - Yerevan will celebrate International Music Day on June 21.



From 6 p.m. until late midnight, sounds of classical, rock and jazz music will be heard all over the city. French Embassy in Armenia and RA Ministry of Culture will hold the event for the third time, with celebrations to be extended to 24 of Armenian cities.



Festive concerts will held at Charles Aznavour square to feature Empyray, Dogma, The Beautified Project, Vordan Karmir, E.V.A., Road Movie music bands.



Later, The Beautified Project, Menq and Loorr will be performing at Lovers' Park.



From 10 p.m. to 11.30 p.m. classical concerts will be held at the Conservatory -adjacent park. French chanson will be performed at Victory Park by French singer Natalie Joilie. The evening will be completed by Jazz concert at Poplavok Café, with joint performances by French musicians Stéphane Belmondo (trumpet) and Eric Lanini (piano).



International Music Day was fist celebrated on June 21, 1982 on the initiative of French Ministry of Culture. Over 340 cities in 110 courtiers of the world celebrate it today.
