Representing Armenia at the Winter Olympic Games, the ice dance pair Karina Akopova – Nikita Rakhmanin advanced past the qualification stage and will perform their free program on February 16. In the short dance program, the duo skated to Ara Gevorgyan’s composition “Artsakh.” They earned 66.27 points, finishing among the top 16 pairs. The Akopova–Rakhmanin pair performed to the music of “Artsakh” despite objections from Baku; however, the title of the piece was not announced, and only the name of its composer, Ara Gevorgyan, was stated. Armenia’s Narek Manasyan (92kg) won Armenia’s second silver medal at the European Boxing Championships 2024 on April 28. Armenian gymnast, Olympic bronze medalist Artur Davtyan has reached the finals of the World Cup.
