Agent urges Spertsyan to choose mid-level club first

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia national team captain and Russian champion Krasnodar midfielder Eduard Spertsyan should not move directly to a top club, prominent football agent Paulo Barbosa has said.

According to him, Spertsyan should choose a mid-level club, prove himself there and only then aim for a top side, RB Sport reports.

“Football is a cruel sport. Spertsyan is a top player, but that does not mean he will succeed 100 percent in any team. Big clubs have intense competition, with high-quality players already there. Vacant spots are necessary. Eduard needs to perform well in the second half of the season. He should select a mid-level team, showcase his best qualities and wait for the right moment to move forward,” the agent said.

Spertsyan’s contract with Krasnodar runs until June 30, 2029. Transfermarkt values him at €25 million.

Spertsyan has made 168 appearances for Krasnodar, scoring 53 goals and providing 45 assists. In the current Russian league season, he has played 18 matches, recording 8 goals and 12 assists.
