Democratic Alternative to run with Prosperous Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Democratic Alternative party has decided to participate in the upcoming elections together with the Prosperous Armenia party. The announcement was made at the party’s sixth congress.

“I consider the creation of consolidation centers to be realistic,” party chairman Suren Surenyants said, according to Panorama.am .

He noted that it is realistic for smaller political forces to unite around emerging large blocs and to take part in elections in that format.

“The Democratic Alternative party has made a decision — and this was a very predictable decision — to join the ‘Offer to Armenia’ program and participate in the upcoming elections together with the Prosperous Armenia party,” Surenyants stated.

Surenyants described as utopian the idea of the opposition running in the elections with a single unified list, stressing that the “Offer to Armenia” initiative is the most popular and is gaining momentum.

Earlier, Prosperous Armenia leader Gagik Tsarukyan announced that he would take part in the 2026 parliamentary elections through the “Offer to Armenia” initiative.

“It will be an ‘offer to Armenia.’ To pull the country out of this situation, there is neither such a person nor such a party. There must be consolidation around an idea and a program. It will be an offer to Armenia. A person may not be engaged in politics but may wish for our children and grandchildren to emerge from this impoverished, defeated situation,” he said.
