Armenian athletes win gold at Balkan Championship

PanARMENIAN.Net - Members of Armenia’s national athletics team delivered strong performances at the Balkan Indoor Championship, emerging as tournament winners.

At the championship held in Serbia’s capital, Belgrade, runner Yervand Mkrtchyan completed the 1500-meter distance in 3:42.29, crossing the finish line first and claiming the gold medal, Armenpress reports.

Armenia earned another gold at the competition through triple jumper Gor Hovakimyan, who recorded a result of 16.66 meters.
