Knutsen says Mkhitaryan no longer young but intense

PanARMENIAN.Net - Inter midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan is no longer young, but his intensity remains very high, Bodo/Glimt head coach Kjetil Knutsen said ahead of the return leg against the Italian side.

He made the remarks before the Champions League playoff return match against Inter.

“We know Mkhitaryan very well because we have played against him many times. He is a very good and experienced footballer. Mkhitaryan is no longer young, but the intensity of his game is very high. We know about his strengths. Maybe tomorrow he will make the difference between the teams, I cannot say. Let’s see,” the coach said, according to Factor.am.

The return match between Inter and Bodo/Glimt will take place on February 24 in Milan, kicking off at midnight Yerevan time. In the first leg held in Norway, Inter lost 1-3.

Earlier, Armenia national team head coach Yeghishe Melikyan met with Henrikh Mkhitaryan after the Inter-Juventus match. During the meeting, Mkhitaryan reaffirmed that at this stage he is focused exclusively on his club career.
