By orders of the Minister of Internal Affairs of Armenia, Vardan Vardanyan, Head of the Criminal Police Main Department of the Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Deputy Chief of Police, Police Colonel, has been dismissed from his position. Police Colonel Artur Barseghyan has been appointed to that post. Karen Hakobyan, Head of the Community Policing Main Department of the Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Deputy Chief of Police, Police Colonel, has been relieved of his duties. Police Colonel Karen Khachatryan has been appointed acting Head of the Community Policing Main Department of the Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Artur Khudinyan, Head of the Patrol Service of the Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Deputy Chief of Police, Police Colonel, has also been dismissed from his position. Police Lieutenant Colonel Gevorg Zakaryan has been appointed to the same post. Under other orders of the Minister of Internal Affairs, Vardan Vardanyan has been appointed Adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs. Karen Hakobyan has been appointed Adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs. Artur Khudinyan has been appointed Assistant to the Minister of Internal Affairs. As a result of floods in Armenia’s northern Lori and Tavush provinces, 17 bridges, including five large ones, have collapsed.
