Melikyan names foreign-based players for national team

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia national team head coach Yeghishe Melikyan has announced the list of foreign-based players called up to the squad. For the first time, an invitation to the national team has been extended to Finn Geragusyan, a forward from the Sunderland U-21 team.

The 18-year-old striker has already scored 12 goals this season while playing for various age-level teams at Sunderland.

At the same time, Rubin Kazan midfielder Ugochukwu Iwu will miss the national team camp due to injury, the Football Federation of Armenia reported.

The Armenia national team will play a friendly match away against the United Arab Emirates on March 26, and three days later will face Belarus in Yerevan.
