A joint communiqué was signed in New York on March 5, the Foreign Ministry reported. The document was signed by Armenia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Paruyr Hovhannisyan and the Permanent Representative of the Independent State of Samoa Fatumanava Paolelei Luteru. Thus, Samoa has become the 187th country with which the Republic of Armenia has established diplomatic relations. Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
