Armenian intelligence warns of pressure on citizens abroad![]() March 10, 2026 - 13:13 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The Foreign Intelligence Service of Armenia has information about pressure being exerted on Armenian citizens in another country and possible interference in Armenia’s upcoming electoral processes, Armenpress reports. According to the statement, the individuals involved act in the name of that country’s special services. “The Foreign Intelligence Service is receiving intelligence indicating that, in another country and acting on behalf of that country’s special services, various actors are attempting to exert pressure on individuals of Armenian origin and citizens of Armenia engaged in economic activities in that country. The aim is to push them to support certain political forces that have announced participation in Armenia’s upcoming parliamentary elections. Such actions include, but are not limited to, providing financial and organizational support to those political forces,” the statement said. Parliamentary elections in Armenia are scheduled for June 7, 2026. Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire.
