Ex-official, Archbishop praise Artsakh woman’s stance![]() March 23, 2026 - 11:32 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Former Artsakh Human Rights Defender and former state minister Artak Beglaryan expressed respect and gratitude to Artsakh native Armine Mosiyan, who responded to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in the metro and spoke about the right to return to Artsakh. On the morning of March 22, in the metro, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan attempted to give a badge shaped like Armenia’s map to a woman traveling with her young son, but she refused, saying: “We have a different map.” During the exchange, Pashinyan said: “None of you should speak dismissively about this map; next time, don’t try, as ‘those who fled,’ to say that I gave away Karabakh.” Beglaryan stated that history “will judge who fled and from what.” “The Armenian who most assisted Aliyev’s criminal act of genocide and dispossession against the people of Artsakh (not to mention the ‘head’ of the state) simply has no right to rebuke Artsakh Armenians who speak about their natural rights and emotions, and moreover to call us ‘those who fled.’ Who we fled from and what we fled from (and that too after being abandoned and left alone to fight with dignity) will be judged by history. And who was it just days ago speaking about the integration of ‘Artsakh sisters and brothers,’ making promises and issuing instructions? Is this how you contribute to integration—by denying and targeting our existence, rights, and emotions in every possible way? Here is yet another piece of evidence of who has been orchestrating hatred against Artsakh Armenians through state channels over these years and why not a single person has been held accountable for these crimes—unlike selected episodes they prefer, for which even women and children are detained, people are thrown onto asphalt and pushed to the brink of death. P.S. I urge all concerned individuals to specifically document instances of hate speech, discrimination, intolerance, and calls for violence against Artsakh Armenians in these days and to submit crime reports to law enforcement bodies,” Beglaryan wrote. Archbishop Bagrat sent a letter to Armine Mosiyan, expressing support and appreciation for her stance. “My dear Armine, with all my heart and love, I extend my support, blessing, appreciation, and gratitude to you, for with the straightforwardness and courage characteristic of Artsakh, you have once again directly exposed evil and its essence. By God’s will, both your child and all of us will return to Artsakh—our native and irreplaceable Homeland. May your conduct today become one of the signals marking the beginning of the liberation of our Armenia. Many blessings to you, my wonderful sister imbued with Artsakh. I will not forget for your sake, Armenia; I will not forgive for your sake, Artsakh… Victory has no alternative… With love and prayer—Bagrat Archbishop Galstanyan, prisoner of the Homeland,” the letter reads. During the opening of the Strong Armenia party office in Abovyan, party council member Narek Karapetyan also commented on the metro incident involving Prime Minister Pashinyan, Pastinfo reports. Karapetyan noted that Artsakh Armenians endured nine months of blockade, facing hunger and hardship, while after the end of the 44-day war, amid public discontent, Nikol Pashinyan “hid in a bunker.” Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution. President of the Armenian parliament Alen Simonyan met with the Speaker of the Azerbaijani Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova. Partner news |
