Armenia works to improve EU-Georgia relations![]() March 23, 2026 - 18:06 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia is interested in the normalization of relations between the European Union and Georgia and is carrying out efforts in that direction, Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan said at a parliamentary committee on European integration, responding to a question from opposition MP Armen Gevorgyan. According to Kostanyan, progress in EU–Georgia negotiations could help create a more favorable environment for the development of Armenia–EU relations, Sputnik Armenia reports. “Progress in EU–Georgia negotiations will help create a significantly more positive environment for the future of Armenia–EU relations. At the same time, we are interested in ensuring that relations between the European Union and Georgia move into a positive track, and we are also undertaking certain efforts in that direction,” Kostanyan said. Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
