He made the remarks during a meeting with Artashes Amiryan, who acquired a disability during the First Nagorno-Karabakh War. With the support of the Catholicos, Amiryan had traveled to India to receive medical treatment and prosthetic care. During the meeting, Amiryan expressed gratitude for the assistance, providing details about his treatment and care conditions in India. Karekin II offered his blessing to Amiryan and expressed satisfaction that the medical care would improve his quality of life. As a result of floods in Armenia’s northern Lori and Tavush provinces, 17 bridges, including five large ones, have collapsed. David Vardanyan is the son of former Karabakh leader Ruben Vardanyan who who is currently imprisoned in Azerbaijan.
