The document has been published on the official legal information portal. At the same time, restrictions will also apply to individuals from April: they will be prohibited from exporting cash rubles to EAEU countries in amounts exceeding the equivalent of $100,000, with some exceptions, RIA Novosti reported. “Establish from April 1, 2026, a ban on the export of cash currency of the Russian Federation from the Russian Federation to the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union… by legal entities and individual entrepreneurs, regardless of the amount,” the decree states. An exception applies in cases where cash rubles are exported “through air border crossing points at international airports designated by the government, provided there are bank statements duly certified by the issuing credit institution confirming the withdrawal of cash funds in the currency of the Russian Federation.” Currently, there are no restrictions on companies exporting cash rubles, but they are required to declare amounts exceeding the equivalent of $10,000.
