Armenia faces 25 new ECHR cases in 2025![]() March 26, 2026 - 19:18 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - In 2025, 25 new applications were filed against Armenia at the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR), compared to 15 in 2024 and 28 in 2023. This is stated in the annual report published by the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe. These cases mainly concern police conduct during mass gatherings, discriminatory practices against members of the LGBT community, cases involving the dismissal of judges, as well as inadequate responses by authorities in situations of severe domestic violence, Panorama.am reports. According to the report, a slight overall decrease in new cases was recorded in 2025. The number of judgments adopted by the ECHR and referred to the Committee of Ministers for supervision amounted to 921, compared to 992 in 2024.
