Armenia warns of flood risk amid heavy rain

PanARMENIAN.Net - Heavy precipitation is expected on March 27–28 in the regions of Syunik, Vayots Dzor, Lori and Tavush, which may lead to rising water levels in the Voghji, Goris, Meghri, Arpa, Debed and Aghstev rivers, the Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center said.

Armenia’s Interior Ministry has urged residents to avoid areas at risk of flooding.

“We urge the public to exercise maximum caution and avoid staying near flood-prone zones. If necessary, immediately call the Interior Ministry’s 112 operational management center,” the ministry said in a statement.
