14 killings linked to domestic violence in 2025

PanARMENIAN.Net - According to the Prosecutor General’s report, 14 murders linked to domestic and household violence were recorded in Armenia in 2025 (13 in 2024). There were also 12 abduction cases (5 in 2024) and 10 cases of causing severe harm to health (15 in 2024).

The number of crimes against sexual integrity decreased by 31 cases, or 15.3%, totaling 172 compared to 203 the previous year, «Panorama.am » reports.

During the same period, human trafficking cases also declined by 11, or 31.4%, dropping from 35 cases in 2024 to 24 in 2025.

Analysis of domestic and household violence shows that the majority of cases involved physical and psychological abuse, as well as minor bodily harm. In 2025, these accounted for 87% of all such incidents, compared to 90% in 2024.

During the reporting period, 14 murders linked to domestic violence were recorded (13 in 2024), along with 12 abductions (5 in 2024) and 10 cases of severe bodily harm (15 in 2024).
