Catholicos praises strength of Armenian women

PanARMENIAN.Net - Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II delivered a message on the occasion of the Feast of the Annunciation, highlighting its spiritual significance and addressing the faithful.

He noted that, inspired by the radiant example of the Holy Mother of God, Armenian women have endured hardships with unwavering obedience to God’s will, preserving steadfast faith and love for Christ while remaining devoted to the nation and homeland.

“On the Feast of the Annunciation of the Holy Mother of God, we extend our patriarchal blessing and congratulations to our pious people in the homeland and throughout the diaspora.

This spiritually uplifting feast is proclaimed as a day of blessing for women awaiting the joy of motherhood. In churches, following the Divine Liturgy, prayers are offered and expectant mothers receive blessings, asking God to grant them loving, healthy, and happy lives, and good and worthy children.

The faithful and virtuous image of the Holy Mother of God has for centuries been a source of inspiration for mothers. We pray that the Almighty Lord, through the intercession of the Holy Mother of God, bless women awaiting motherhood and grant them safe childbirth.
