Armenian, Kazakh foreign ministers hold talks![]() April 9, 2026 - 18:09 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - A one-on-one meeting was held at Armenia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs between Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Kazakhstan’s Foreign Minister Yerzhan Kosherbayev. Earlier, it was announced that Kazakhstan’s foreign minister and transport minister would visit Armenia. It was previously reported that Kazakhstan is not holding negotiations on acquiring the Russian concession for Armenia’s railways. This was stated by the Kazakhstan Railways company and the country’s transport ministry. Earlier, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had said that Armenia would not oppose Kazakhstan acquiring the Russian concession for Armenia’s railways, provided there is Russia’s consent. However, the Russian side has stated that it has no intention of carrying out such a deal. Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
