Severe weather disrupts Armenia border route![]() April 13, 2026 - 17:37 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Due to difficult weather conditions in Georgia, the road leading to one of the border checkpoints with Armenia has been temporarily closed, Sputnik Armenia reports, citing the Georgian Roads Department. Specifically, because of a blizzard and poor visibility, restrictions have been imposed on the Paravani Pass section (km 94–110) of the Parckhisi–Manglisi–Tsalka–Ninotsminda interstate road. As a result, traffic toward the Ninotsminda–Bavra border checkpoint has been suspended. Meanwhile, the Lars checkpoint has also remained closed for the fourth consecutive day. As a result of floods in Armenia’s northern Lori and Tavush provinces, 17 bridges, including five large ones, have collapsed.
