Armenia, ILO explore broader cooperation![]() April 15, 2026 - 18:54 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Arsen Torosyan met with Deborah France, Director of the Bureau for Employers’ Activities at the International Labour Organization (ILO), to discuss expanding cooperation. A number of issues were addressed, including strengthening social dialogue, enhancing engagement with the business community, and exploring opportunities for joint programs aimed at job creation. The meeting also touched upon the ongoing development of institutional social partnership in Armenia. In this context, the priorities set out in the national collective agreement and the current stage of their implementation were reviewed. The sides emphasized that the agreement contributes to qualitative progress in social partnership by reinforcing cooperation and mutual trust among the state, employers, and trade unions. As a result of floods in Armenia’s northern Lori and Tavush provinces, 17 bridges, including five large ones, have collapsed. David Vardanyan is the son of former Karabakh leader Ruben Vardanyan who who is currently imprisoned in Azerbaijan. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has met with Stephan Schütz, Executive Partner at Gerkan, Marg and Partners. The number of state universities will be reduced from 23 to 8 by 2030, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Zhanna Andreasyan has said. Partner news |
