Political forces prepare for June elections![]() April 15, 2026 - 19:01 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - A total of 21 political forces have approached the Central Election Commission (CEC) to open accounts required for submitting applications to participate in the elections, CEC spokesperson Seda Ghukasyan said, according to Factor.am . Opening an account does not necessarily mean that a party or alliance will ultimately submit an application to take part in the elections. The listed forces include the Prosperous Armenia Party, the Christian Democratic Party, the National Progress Party, the Hayastan Alliance, the Civil Contract Party, the Against Everyone Party, the Bright Armenia Party, the National Democratic Alliance, the Democratic Consolidation Party, the Armenian Sovereign Party, the Republic Party, the Strong Armenia with Samvel Karapetyan alliance, the New Force Reformist Party, the Kochari National Revival and Awakening Party, the Reformists Party, the Shant Alliance Nationalist Party, the Justice and Homeland Party, the United National Constitutional Party, the Wings of Unity Party, the Armenian National Congress, and the Hayk (Haykazun) Party. Submitting an application to obtain an account is mandatory for participation and must be completed electronically by April 23 at 6:00 p.m. Political forces that have already applied for accounts may submit the required nomination documents starting from April 13. Parliamentary elections in Armenia are scheduled for June 7, 2026. Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire.
