  Pedagogical University officials detained April 18, 2026 - 11:45 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Within the framework of the proceedings, Pedagogical University Vice-Rector Mariam Ispiryan, her son, and Vice-President of the Chess Federation, Head of the Chess and Sports Department, Director of the “Chess” Research Institute Smbat Lputyan were detained, according to the committee, as reported by Radar Armenia. The Anti-Corruption Committee stated that the detentions relate to allegations of abuse of official authority, fraud, aiding fraud, and official forgery within the initiated criminal proceedings.
