Garnik Cholakyan became European vice-champion with a total of 274 kg in the combined event. In the men’s 60 kg category, Cholakyan successfully lifted 120 kg and 124 kg in the snatch, earning a silver medal in that discipline, Armenpress reports. In the clean and jerk, he lifted 145 kg and 150 kg, securing a bronze medal. In the same weight category, Angel Rusev of Bulgaria won gold with a total of 275 kg. Armenia’s Narek Manasyan (92kg) won Armenia’s second silver medal at the European Boxing Championships 2024 on April 28. Armenian gymnast, Olympic bronze medalist Artur Davtyan has reached the finals of the World Cup. Gor Manvelyan has denied reports alleging that he has expressed a desire to one day play for the French national team.
