EU ambassador reviews election preparations in Armenia![]() April 20, 2026 - 16:03 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Head of the EU Delegation, Ambassador Vassilis Maragos, and his deputy Theresa Worlova visited the Central Election Commission on April 20. They were received by CEC Chairman Vahagn Hovakimyan. Maragos inquired about the progress of election preparations, as well as joint programs implemented by the CEC and the United Nations Development Programme. Parliamentary elections in Armenia are scheduled for June 7, 2026. Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
