State recovers 326 million drams in damages

PanARMENIAN.Net - The preliminary investigation into a criminal case involving fictitious transactions and large-scale tax evasion by several companies is ongoing at the Main Department for Investigation of Economic Crimes and Smuggling of Armenia’s Investigative Committee.

As part of the investigation, damages amounting to 326 million drams have been recovered for the state.

“During the preliminary investigation, as a result of extensive and comprehensive procedural and evidentiary actions, one of the companies has reimbursed the state for damages in an especially large amount—326 million AMD,” the statement said.

Note: A person accused of a crime is presumed innocent until proven guilty in accordance with the Criminal Procedure Code by a court verdict that has entered into legal force.
