Armenia, Iraq discuss law enforcement systems![]() April 22, 2026 - 17:51 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian and Iraqi officials discussed the features of their law enforcement systems during a meeting held in Yerevan. Deputy Chairman of Armenia’s Investigative Committee Arsen Ayvazyan and Head of the Cybersecurity Department of Iraq’s Interior Ministry Hassan Hadi Laziz held talks focused on institutional structures and cooperation. Ayvazyan stressed the importance of international cooperation, particularly in combating cybercrime, and expressed gratitude for initiating the visit. During the meeting, the Armenian side presented the structure and functions of the Investigative Committee, including specifics of cases related to cybercrime and high technologies. The Iraqi delegation also outlined the organization and operations of its law enforcement system. The sides discussed differences between their institutional models and explored potential areas for cooperation. At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties emphasized their readiness to deepen cooperation, ensuring prompt responses to legal matters, exchange of expertise, and sustained collaboration. Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
