Court orders asset seizure from Sargsyan relative

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia’s Anti-Corruption Court has partially upheld a prosecution claim seeking the confiscation of assets deemed to be of illicit origin.

Under the April 21, 2026 ruling, 39,341 shares and monetary assets will be confiscated from Ani Sargsyan, the daughter of Levon Sargsyan, brother of Armenia’s third president Serzh Sargsyan, in favor of the state.

The court also ordered the seizure of a $760,274 deposit along with accrued interest, as well as an additional $103,833 in interest income and the interest accumulated on that amount.

In addition, funds totaling 10,200,549 drams, as well as 4,853 euros and their accrued interest, are subject to confiscation.

The court further recorded the existence of 2,643,357 drams identified as illicit in origin, but these funds cannot be confiscated as they were transferred to other individuals or cannot be traced.

As a result, once the ruling enters into legal force, the state will receive the company shares along with a total of $864,107 in deposits, over 10 million drams, and funds in euros, including all accrued interest.
