Armenia, France to sign strategic partnership deal![]() April 23, 2026 - 12:22 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - A strategic partnership document is expected to be signed during French President Emmanuel Macron’s upcoming state visit to Armenia, Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan said in an interview with Public Television. “The agenda of Macron’s visit will be packed. I would like to highlight one important point: a strategic partnership document will be signed, which has been under discussion for a long time,” Kostanyan stated. He added that several other agreements related to cooperation will also be signed, covering various sectors. French President Emmanuel Macron will arrive in Armenia in early May on a state visit. On May 4, he will participate in the European Political Community summit in Yerevan, followed by official state visit events the next day. Emmanuel Macron last visited Armenia in October 2018, when he attended the Francophonie summit in Yerevan.
