Russian diplomats pay tribute at Tsitsernakaberd![]() April 24, 2026 - 12:50 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Russia’s Ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopyrkin and military attaché Goryainov visited the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex to pay tribute to the victims of the Armenian Genocide. “We mourn together with the Armenian people on the Day of Remembrance of the victims of the Armenian Genocide,” the embassy said in a Facebook post. It was also noted that in 1995, the State Duma of the Russian Federation adopted a statement “On the condemnation of the genocide of the Armenian people in 1915–1922,” expressing deep condolences to the fraternal Armenian people. Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
