Netherlands envoy honors genocide victims in Yerevan![]() April 24, 2026 - 14:40 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - In Armenia, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands Marieke Monroy-Winter visited the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex to pay tribute to the victims of the Armenian Genocide, the embassy said on Facebook. “Today, April 24, we commemorate the mass atrocities committed against Armenians in 1915–1917. We sincerely share the grief of the Armenian people for the suffering endured by their ancestors. We stand with Armenians and bow in memory of all victims of this tragedy and before the survivors,” the ambassador wrote. Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
