Macron says April 24 unites France, Armenians

PanARMENIAN.Net - On April 24, France commemorates the Armenian Genocide and pays tribute to its victims, French President Emmanuel Macron said in a message marking the 111th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.

He noted that April 24 unites the French and Armenians.

“On April 24, the Republic commemorates the Armenian Genocide of 1915 and pays tribute to its victims. It is an opportunity to remember, to pass on, and to highlight the unbreakable bond that unites France with Armenia and the French people with Armenians,” the post says.

France has officially recognized the Armenian Genocide. Since 2019, April 24 has been observed as a national day of remembrance.
