Tatoyan says TRIPP might be key to Armenia peace

PanARMENIAN.Net - The agreement that can ensure peace for Armenia today is in fact TRIPP, but its implementation is possible only under several conditions, said Arman Tatoyan, prime ministerial candidate of the Wings of Unity party.

“TRIPP can be implemented only under certain conditions: when Armenia is fully unblocked, and Azerbaijani armed forces withdraw from Armenia, meaning de-occupation takes place,” Tatoyan stated, according to Aysor.am .

He added that without meeting these requirements, the implementation of TRIPP would not be possible.

“We will negotiate with the U.S. authorities, including Donald Trump. Unlike the current authorities, which conceal and ‘waste’ American mediation and obediently fulfill Azerbaijani demands, thereby discrediting U.S. mediation and authority,” Tatoyan said.

Earlier, Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio confirmed a document in Washington on Armenia–U.S. cooperation within the framework of the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) initiative.

The published document on TRIPP implementation outlines procedures for launching the initiative and does not create or intend to create legal obligations for either Armenia or the United States.
