Yerevan, Delhi discuss future cooperation![]() May 12, 2026 - 13:07 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armen Pambukhchyan, first deputy mayor of Yerevan and acting mayor, met with India’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Armenia, Nilakshi Saha Sinha. In the context of the high level of Armenian-Indian relations, the sides stressed the importance of taking practical steps toward implementing the memorandum of understanding on friendship between Yerevan and Delhi signed in 2008. The first deputy mayor said he expects the ambassador’s support in revitalizing ties between the two cities. It was also noted that Yerevan remains open to foreign investment in various sectors, as well as to the implementation of mutually beneficial joint projects. Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution. President of the Armenian parliament Alen Simonyan met with the Speaker of the Azerbaijani Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova. Partner news |
