Armenia seeks seizure of properties tied to former MP![]() May 14, 2026 - 15:19 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The Anti-Corruption Court has accepted into proceedings another lawsuit filed by the Prosecutor General’s Office concerning the confiscation of property of illegal origin. The Department for the Confiscation of Property of Illegal Origin at the Prosecutor General’s Office submitted a request to the court seeking the confiscation in favor of the Republic of Armenia from former head of Yerevan’s Ajapnyak administrative district and former National Assembly deputy Ruben Garnik Hovsepyan (the brother of former Prosecutor General Aghvan Hovsepyan — ed.) and affiliated persons of: 3 real estate properties, including 2 in Yerevan and 1 in the Artashavan settlement of the Ashtarak community, 1 vehicle, participation in 1 legal entity, 236 million 827 thousand drams as the remaining amount of allegedly illegal monetary assets. Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
