Investigators seize computers, documents at MP home

PanARMENIAN.Net - Investigators from Armenia’s Anti-Corruption Committee have completed searches at the home and election headquarters of Martun Grigoryan, a parliamentary candidate from the Prosperous Armenia party and member of the National Assembly’s I Have Honor faction.

Representatives of law enforcement agencies seized computers and documents, Aysor.am reported.

Searches had been carried out since early morning at the opposition lawmaker’s apartment and office. The Anti-Corruption Committee had earlier stated that the actions were being conducted within the framework of proceedings under investigation by the agency.

Prosperous Armenia leader Gagik Tsarukyan’s spokesperson Iveta Tonoyan earlier stated that the election campaign had been “turned into open political retaliation” by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

“We call on international organizations, officials carrying out diplomatic missions in our country and observers to pay attention to these illegal processes,” she said.
