Computers seized from Hayastan alliance Gyumri office

PanARMENIAN.Net - Investigators have completed a search at the Gyumri headquarters of the Hayastan Alliance and left the building, taking with them seized computers and documents, Factor.am reports.

Earlier in the day, it became known that searches were being carried out at more than 50 locations as part of a criminal investigation into alleged large-scale money laundering and the material inducement of numerous individuals.

Speaking at a press conference on the matter, alliance parliamentary candidate Artsvik Minasyan said the operation was being carried out by the political authorities through what he described as a “subservient law enforcement system.”

“It is obvious that these operations will have no serious consequences, because both their publications and these so-called revelations clearly show that the authorities understand that the ground is slipping from beneath their feet. Through these actions they are trying to create a false perception among the public and provide so-called justifications to international organizations by saying, ‘Look, look, the opposition in Armenia is committing election violations,’ while in reality they themselves are the biggest violators of the electoral process,” Minasyan said.

The election campaign that began on May 8 will continue until June 5. June 6 will be a day of silence, and elections will be held on June 7. On May 25, it became known that the Alliance Progressive Centrist Party had submitted a withdrawal application, based on which the Central Electoral Commission invalidated the registration of the party’s electoral list. As a result, ballot paper number 13 will not be included in the upcoming elections.
