ARMENIAN PRESIDENT CONVINCED YEREVAN SHOULD NOT AVOID CONTACTS WITH ANKARA

PanARMENIAN.Net - Appearing at the Yerevan-Moscow-Los Angeles TV bridge organized by the Public Television Company of Armenia President Robert Kocharian stated that Armenia should not avoid contacts with Turkey. In his words, it is necessary to use all opportunities to contact Ankara, as it was done in the course of the summit in Reykjavik. The state head noted that such meetings are very important, as they let understand the parties' approaches. Robert Kocharian stated that in spite of the weight of the past, which is certainly present in the relations between Armenia and Turkey, Yerevan has to take into account certain realities. In the President's words, to solve the existing problems it is necessary for the actions of all political forces of Armenia and the diaspora to proceed from a common position. "We clearly realize what we want from Turkey," - Robert Kocharian noted.
