Rubio congratulates Pashinyan on election win

PanARMENIAN.Net - Marco Rubio congratulated Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on his party’s victory in the parliamentary elections, according to a post published on his X account.

“The United States stands with Prime Minister Pashinyan and Armenia in their efforts to pursue peace, and we remain committed to advancing the goals of the historic Washington peace summit, including the implementation of the TRIPP program.

We look forward to working together to ensure peace, stability, and prosperity in the South Caucasus and beyond,” Rubio wrote.

According to preliminary results from Armenia’s June 7 National Assembly elections, the votes were distributed as follows: Civil Contract – 49.825%, Strong Armenia – 23.281%, Armenia Alliance – 9.934%, Prosperous Armenia – 3.996%. Under these updated figures, Prosperous Armenia does not clear the electoral threshold, which is 4% for political parties.
