Opposition bloc prepares Constitutional Court appeal![]() June 9, 2026 - 15:01 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The Hayastan Alliance is preparing to appeal to Armenia’s Constitutional Court in order to challenge the results of the parliamentary elections. The announcement was made by alliance representative Ishkhan Saghatelyan during a conversation with journalists. “Once the final count is completed, we will submit our case to the Constitutional Court. A fairly extensive package is being prepared,” he said. Commenting on whether the alliance will accept parliamentary mandates, Saghatelyan noted that the issue remains under discussion and requires consultations with other opposition partners, Aysor.am reported. According to him, a final decision will be made only after those discussions are concluded. According to preliminary election results, the vote distribution was as follows: Civil Contract – 49.825%, Strong Armenia – 23.281%, Hayastan Alliance – 9.934%, Prosperous Armenia – 3.996%. Under the updated figures, Prosperous Armenia has not cleared the 4% threshold required for political parties, although the party has requested recounts in several polling stations. Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
