Army chief comments on parade equipment![]() June 9, 2026 - 18:02 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Armed Forces Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General Eduard Asryan, has stated that the Russian-made Tor-M2KM air defense missile systems displayed during the military parade in Yerevan were received by Armenia only recently. The chief of the General Staff did not disclose the full list of seven countries whose military equipment was showcased during the May 28 parade, Sputnik Armenia reported. At the same time, he confirmed that the event featured several recently acquired weapons systems of Russian origin. “You saw the Russian Tor-M2KM systems during the parade, which we received recently,” Asryan said. During the military parade held in Yerevan on May 28, military equipment manufactured in Armenia, Russia, France, India, China, Iran, and Belgium was displayed. Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
