Strong Armenia vows not to waste trust

PanARMENIAN.Net - According to Ghahramanyan, the elections were held amid total violations.

Strong Armenia is a responsible political force and, when making any decision, must take into account voters’ trust and the country’s primary interest, party spokesperson Marianna Ghahramanyan said, commenting on discussions over whether to take the mandates.

“We will not waste the trust given to us,” she said in a Facebook video address.

She noted that the elections were held amid “total violations,” and numerous electoral violations were also recorded on voting day.

“Based on the recount results already available and our own calculations, it is becoming clear that Strong Armenia’s votes were given to pro-government satellite forces. We have also submitted requests for recounts at several polling stations,” Ghahramanyan said.

According to preliminary data, votes in the elections were distributed as follows: Civil Contract — 49.825 percent, Strong Armenia — 23.281 percent, Armenia Alliance — 9.934 percent, Prosperous Armenia — 3.996 percent. Updated data show that the Prosperous Armenia Party does not pass the threshold, which is 4 percent for a party. The party has requested recounts in several precincts.
