Minister reassures public on gas tariffs![]() June 11, 2026 - 13:12 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Citizens have no reason to be concerned about a potential increase in natural gas tariffs, Infrastructure Minister Davit Khudatyan said, stressing that current contracts remain valid. Citizens have no reason to worry about a possible increase in gas prices, Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Minister Davit Khudatyan said during a briefing with journalists at the National Assembly. “We continue to receive gas according to the regular schedule and at the tariff that has been in place. Those tariffs are established by contracts that are still valid. We are currently operating under those agreements. Nothing has changed in our working relations,” he said, according to Aysor.am. The minister also emphasized that there have been no new developments regarding the possibility of a gas price increase for Armenia. In recent days, various Russian officials have stated that if Armenia continues moving toward the European Union, it could lose access to preferential natural gas supplies from Russia. Yerevan has dismissed Turkey’s demand to shut down the Armenian nuclear power plant as “inappropriate”. Armenia will loan 2.9 billion drams to Nagorno Karabakh (Artsakh), according to a draft government decision. The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan has “strongly condemned” Armenia’s decision.
