Armenia advances preparations for 2029 FIFA U-20

PanARMENIAN.Net - Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan chaired a meeting dedicated to preparations for the 2029 FIFA U-20 World Cup.

The meeting was attended by Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Zhanna Andreasyan, Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Davit Khudatyan, Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan, Chairman of the Urban Development Committee Yeghiazar Vardanyan, as well as other representatives of the relevant sectors.

During the discussion, participants were presented with draft proposals being developed for the stadiums in Vanadzor and Ijevan, the timetable for implementation of the works, and a number of other issues related to the preparatory phase.

The Deputy Prime Minister stressed the importance of Armenia’s full readiness for the tournament, highlighting the need for the timely development of the required infrastructure and its compliance with international standards.

At the conclusion of the meeting, relevant instructions were issued.
