Grigoryan, Hajiyev discuss peace process in Dilijan

PanARMENIAN.Net - On June 14 in Dilijan, Secretary of Armenia’s Security Council Armen Grigoryan and Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan Hikmet Hajiyev discussed issues related to the peace agenda between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Armenia’s Security Council reported.

The importance of continued bilateral dialogue was emphasized in the context of efforts aimed at strengthening long-term peace and stability in the region.

The sides also exchanged views on measures to enhance mutual trust between the civil societies of the two countries.

Armen Grigoryan and Hikmet Hajiyev agreed to continue working-level contacts, noting that their next meeting will take place in Azerbaijan.

Hikmet Hajiyev and the delegation accompanying him arrived in Armenia via a demarcated and delimited section of the land border, completing all relevant procedures. This information was provided by the Security Council Office, according to Armenpress.

“As we informed earlier, during the visit a meeting took place with Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan, during which issues related to the peace agenda between Armenia and Azerbaijan were discussed,” the statement said.

The visit had not been announced in advance.
