France and Greece join drills in Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Eagle Partner 2026 military exercise officially began in Armenia on June 17 with expanded international participation, according to the U.S. Embassy in Armenia.

This year’s exercise features a broader range of participants. Alongside personnel from the Armenian Armed Forces Peacekeeping Brigade, U.S. Army Europe and Africa, and the Kansas National Guard, representatives of the armed forces of France and Greece have also joined the drills.

“This is the fourth annual exercise built on the long-standing Armenian-American defense partnership and supports preparations for international peacekeeping missions,” the statement said.

The exercise will continue through June 25.

Organizers say the training is designed to improve cooperation among participating forces and enhance peacekeeping capabilities.

Through joint multinational training activities, Eagle Partner 2026 aims to increase interoperability, facilitate the exchange of best practices, and strengthen the preparedness of peacekeeping units.
